After growing up in the Midwest, Sherrie made her way to Door County, Wisconsin. While raising her family, Sherrie worked for 10 ½ years as a teaching assistant with Gibraltar Schools in Fish Creek. After completing training as a medical assistant, Sherrie worked in family medicine, internal medicine, and addiction medicine. After moving to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Sherrie worked in pediatrics for 2 ½ years, before moving to Conserve School. Sherrie lives on campus with Scott and their two dogs, Willie and Pippy, and Larry, a bearded dragon (not the fire-breathing variety, but the lizard type). When not attending to her responsibilities in the student life office, Sherrie enjoys knitting, kayaking, biking, cooking, and baking (and introducing students to these pursuits). Sherrie has come to appreciate the beauty of the Northwoods of Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and is excited to continue learning more about being an environmental steward.
