Below are pictures from the shelter building unit in Conserve School's Outdoor Skills' curriculum. This particular unit took place on Friday of Family Weekend, which allowed families who were visiting classes to learn and participate alongside their student. The goal in this unit is for students to become proficient in building a shelter for protection from the weather should the need arise when out in the woods. Also included was instruction and practice in building a proper fire.
CS3 Alum David Moy, now an Outdoor Skills Teaching Fellow, introduces the unit.
