This past weekend the students of Conserve School semester 17 concluded their 17 week experience and headed home. As the semester drew to a close the students were given a number of opportunities to share their thoughts about the experience and their aspirations for the future.  Read the full message

SPOTLIGHTS

CONSERVE SCHOOL NEWS

The question of "how to be human," has been an underlying theme throughout the semester in AP Environmental Science class.

Outdoor Skills class learns Wilderness First Aid and explores possible scenarios with hands on learning in their outdoor classroom.

Our English class, Wilderness Voices, examines perspectives in literature through "Windows and Mirrors" while spending an afternoon outside.

Students at Conserve School learn to navigate with a compass and map, but sometimes you have to get a little lost to find yourself.  

Stewardship in Action recently did a unit on Art as Activism. They learned how to create posters, zines, buttons, and several different printing methods.

February 15 - Application Deadline Approaching

Students interested in attending Conserve School in the Fall of 2019 or Spring of 2020 are reminded that the priority application deadline is February 15th.

Winter Festival

On Saturday, February 23rd, Conserve School opens its campus to the public for a day of winter fun with skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and sledding - plus a delicious chili feed.  Read more
