Erin Schmitz, CS13 Wins AFS Project Change Competition
Jill Rennicke, Alumni Coordinator

Congratulations to Erin for winning the AFS Project: Change competition! Winning the competition means that Erin's project will be fully funded to complete her own project in Guatemala. Erin writes, "this is an opportunity to travel with a group of ten other contest winners to teach about the environment and the entirety of our global community to elementary school children. To heighten the global awareness of both children in Madison and in Guatemala, I plan to set up pen pals for the children I work with there as well as the children I am currently working with for my Taking Action Project. I hope that this project helps to inform and empower the next generation of change makers".

Good luck Erin, safe travels. Come back to Conserve and share your project and stories with us. Photo submitted by Erin Schmitz.
