BA Music, Luther College
Jennifer has been a resident of Conserve School since 2001, along with her husband, Stefan, and their twin daughters, now in college. She helped with admissions the year before the school opened, and then became the Orchestra Teacher in 2002 when the school opened to students. She taught Orchestra and Band, and was the Alumni Coordinator until 2010. For the past four years she has taught private violin, viola, cello and fiddle lessons at the Campanile Center for the Arts in nearby Minocqua, has been the pit orchestra conductor for the local school district's musicals, been a church musician, and a volunteer in the local school district.
Prior to moving to the Northwoods, Jennifer taught Orchestra in the public schools of Bedford, Massachusetts and Faribault, Minnesota, and at Breck School in Minneapolis. She fully embraces the many outdoor opportunities that abound in the Northwoods such as running, skiing, biking, and hiking. Her constant outdoor companions are the Anderson family golden retrievers, Copper and Teddy. When not outdoors and not working, she pursues her other passions such as cooking, baking, reading, and most importantly playing her electric violin. Jennifer feels quite fortunate to live and work in a community such as Conserve School.
