Thank you for your interest in Conserve School! In addition to serving as Conserve’s Director of Admissions and Residential Life, I proudly call myself a “homeschool dad”. My wife, Carolyn, and I have homeschooled our two children through the high school years and they are both currently in college. I am excited that you have chosen to learn more about Conserve School, as I believe that a semester here offers a powerful, enriching complement to a homeschool learning program.
We have designed the Conserve School semester to fit in the junior year of a student's high school career. Beyond the exceptionally unique academic experience that Conserve provides all of its students, this timing may be especially beneficial for homeschool students because of the way it can enhance the transition to college by:
- Providing students with a transcript of Conserve's curriculum, which is unique, challenging, experiential and "outside of the box". (learn more)
- Connecting students with Conserve School's top notch faculty who will be able to provide them with recommendations for use with their college applications. (learn more)
- Educating students about the college application process and specific colleges through the weekly college & career seminars. (learn more)
- Preparing students for college life by allowing them an extended away from home experience within a safe and nurturing community of supportive students and adults. (learn more)
